The Channel Sync Bookmarklet does not work on mobile devices. Use a computer or tablet to sync your channels.

Make sure your Bookmarks Bar is visible on your browser, here are instructions for each major browser type to make your Bookmarks Bar visible:

Chrome: At the top right, click More and then Bookmarks and then Show Bookmarks Bar.

Firefox: Click the Menu button, choose Customize. Click Show / Hide Toolbars menu and select Bookmarks Bar.

Safari: From the View Menu, click Show Bookmarks Bar. You can also click on the Open Book icon to open the Bookmarks Bar if it is visible on your Browser.

Edge: Click on Settings and More and Select Settings. Under Favorites Bar, switch the option to On.

Once your bookmarks bar is visible, drag the Channel Sync Button from the Instructions page onto the Bookmarks Bar. The Channel Sync Bookmarklet should now show up.

The Channel Sync Bookmarklet can take up to 1 minute to fully sync your channel. If more than a minute has passed, refresh the page and try using the Bookmarklet again.

If the bookmarklet still does not sync within a minute, send us an email at support@brandbacker.com and let us know that you need your Content Channel Stats and Ownership Synced.

You only need to confirm the ownership of your Content Channel one time. Once you've confirmed your Channel Ownership, you can remove any hashtags or badges added to your channel and can un-follow any BrandBacker Channels you followed.

Note: To update your Channel Stats in the future, you can simply just press the Channel Sync Bookmarklet while on your Channel.

The Channel Sync Bookmarklet can take up to 1 minute to fully sync your channel. If more than a minute has passed, refresh the your Content Channel Settings page to check if the stats and ownership have been confirmed.

If the stats are still not correct, make sure that the channel link that saved on the Content Channel Settings page is directing you to the correct page and that the link is the publicly visible link to your channel (not an admin page or individual post).

Channel engagement stats can take more than a week to fully update. We calculate these stats using the average of your channel's recent posts and so it can take some time for your counts to rise up to meet your most recent posts. For instance, if you only post once a month to your Instagram page for the past year we would calculate the average engagement on your posts across the entire year, even if the last few posts generated more engagement the the previous posts. Since we look at your most recent posts, if you post more often, your engagement stats should catch up much faster.

Our systems will regularly update your stats for you but if you feel the stats we have are much lower than your actual stats then we would suggest using the Channel Sync Bookmarklet to update your counts.

We would advise against constantly updating your stats. A good rule of thumb is to update your stats when you hit major follower milestones.
