Common Sign Up Questions

I completed all of the sign up steps. Where is my confirmation email?

In order to properly confirm your account ownership, you need to make sure you to follow the correct steps for the content channel you signed up with. Here are the steps you need to take:

1. Follow the instructions on the Sign Up Confirmation Page for the channel you signed up with. Make sure that you are confirming the correct channel, oftentimes influencers will complete the Instagram instructions when they actually signed up with a Blog URL. Our systems will only visit the channel you signed up with.

2. Our systems will regularly visit your channel and check if the confirmation step has been completed. It can take up to 4 hours for the channel to be confirmed after you complete Step 1.

3. Once confirmed you will receive an email from us with a link to finish setting up your account.

If you have not received a confirmation email within 4 hours, please reach out to support@brandbacker.com with the name, email address and content channel that you signed up with.

I was invited to a Campaign by a Brand. How do I sign up to join the Campaign?

If you received an email from a brand on BrandBacker inviting you to a Campaign, you do not need to fill out the Sign Up Form. Here are some steps to complete your signup:

1. In the email you received from the brand, click on the link to View the Invite.

2. On the Campaign Invite page you land on, click on the red "Get Started" button. Note that if the Compensation section does not say "Paid Posts", the brand does not have a paid budget for this campaign.

3. Fill in the sign up Form with your email address and setup your password and location

4. Once you've completed the sign up process, find the link to the Campaign Invite on the top area of your dashboard.

5. After clicking into the Campaign Invite from the dashboard, review the Campaign Overview and Details. If you'd like to apply, click on the "Apply to Campaign" button to submit an application.

Note: Check the "Campaign Offers" section on the Campaign Overview page before applying. This section outlines if the campaign is offering products and paid posts. If this section does not say "Paid Posts", the brand does not have a paid budget available for the campaign.

Can I confirm my account using a Content Channel I did not sign up with?

If you want to confirm through a different content channel, send us an email at support@brandbacker.com with the name, email address and content channel that you signed up with along with the URL of the channel you want to confirm with. The two channels must be linked together in some way.

I don't want to display the BrandBacker Badge on my Blog. Can I confirm in another way?

We realize that adding the BrandBacker Badge to your blog without first using the platform might be against your blog policies. We're one step ahead of you and created an invisible badge you can add to your blog that your site visitors will not be able to see. To add the invisible badge, click on the "Invisible" button on the Sign Up Confirmation Page to get the proper code.

Note: Once you've received your confirmation email, you can remove the badge from your blog.

I can't add the BrandBacker Confirmation Badge on my Blog's Home Page. Can I add it to another page on my Blog?

We understand that some blog themes and website formats do not allow for you to add our Blog Confirmation Badge to the home page. Or you might simply not want to add the badge to your homepage. In this case, you can add the badge to another page on your site.

Send us an email at support@brandbacker.com with the name, email address and content channel that you signed up with along with the URL of the page the badge can be found on.

Is there another way to confirm my Instagram Channel other than adding #BrandBacker to my description?

We understand that you may not want to temporarily add #BrandBacker to your channel description without using the platform first. In this case, make sure the email address you signed up with is publicly visible in your channel description.

Then send us an email at support@brandbacker.com with the name, email address and content channel that you signed up with along with. Let us know in the email that you added your email address to the channel description instead of the hashtag.

Note: Once your channel has been confirmed, you can remove the hashtag or email address from your channel description. If these options do not work for you, email the support address above and we can work on a custom solution for you.

I manage a number of different influencers. Can I create one account for all of them?

Currently we do not support Influencer Agent Accounts to manage multiple influencers. We would suggest creating separate BrandBacker accounts for each influencer you are managing. Make sure each account has a unique email address and content channel associated with it.

I have more than one content channel. How do I add these to my account?

When signing up, use the channel that you update most often. We'd suggest your Instagram Channel if you have one. Once you've confirmed the ownership of your Content Channel, you will be able to add all of your Content Channels to your account during the setup process.
